Day four began with brilliant blue skies as our intrepid band of travelers once again ventured forth into the streets of London. Our day started at Westminster Abbey, a working church that is over 900 years old. Westminster Abbey has been the sight of the coronation of every king and queen since 1066 and is the resting place of diverse characters ranging from Charles Darwin to Charles Dickens.
Many of us dawned our daffodils in honor of St. Davids Day(the patron saint of Wales) as we continued our adventure to the British Museum. From Assyrians to Egyptians to Greeks, we explored the history of the ancient world.
Continuing our taste of history we had dinner at a traditional English pub dating back to Victorian times. We had rare privilege of meeting a Chelsea Pensioner. (WWI veteran) After dinner, we took in the the show Wicked in the west end of London before retiring for the night...very tired...but excited.
