Day 1: Arrived to a cold but sunny London. After a brief stop at our hotel, we immediately took the tube to Covent Garden for lunch and some early shopping. After Lunch we embarked on a open top bus tour: see picture.
Stopping at the Tower of London, we took a river cruise back to Big Ben, and from there went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. Finishing the night with a guided walk on the River Thames, where we discovered the history of St. Pauls Cathedral and the Globe Theater. A tired and happy crew hit the sack around 10:15. It looks like everyone is having a great, albeit chilly experience in jolly ole England. Our prayers are with you for a wonderful and safe trip. And don't forget they drive on the "wrong" side of the road!

ReplyDeleteI didn't think anyone would have the guts to ride on the top deck of the bus since it's in the 40s there. JPH
